Thanks to everyone who came out to run and vote. This year’s exec is thrilled at the opportunity to make this year the best it can be.

Following the remarkable success of our fall session, we have expanded our program to FOUR (yes, FOUR) committees over TWO days!  The 2012 Winter In-House features:

-Disarmament and International Security, the First Committee of the General Assembly

-The UN Human Rights Committee

-Two exciting joint-crisis committees, “America In Crisis”, with the United States Cabinet playing against a group of rogue governors in the fallout of political disaster!

Attendance is just $10 for members of the UN Society, and $20 for everyone else!  This includes food on both days.

After our fantastic success at McMUN 2012, we just wanted to drop you a hint about the Winter In-House happening in March.  Congratulations to our delegates who won awards at McMUN: Mark Calderaro (Best Delegate – Brad Wall – Charlottetown 2012), Honourable Mention (Colton Brydges – Guinea – UNECA), and two book awards (George Stairs - Manuel Urrutia Lleó – Cuba Crisis) (Chris Tomalty – Fathi Tirbil Salwa – Triple Joint Crisis’ Libyan Rebels)

The United Nations Society is pleased to announce the first of two all-day training sessions for the Winter term!  The Indostralia-Malifranca Crisis is a unique situation for delegates.  No information will be leaked beforehand, and delegates will only know their positions after they show up.  The Indostralia-Malifranca Crisis follows an entirely fictional situation, and delegates will have to rely on interpersonal and delegate skills to make their mark on sensitive and ever-evolving events.

It will be held on January 21st, the Saturday before McMUN.

ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY for those attending McGill Model UN AND Harvard National Model UN.  Those delegates are automatically registered.  If, for some reason, a delegate cannot possibly attend, they must email the Director of Training (chris [at] thetomaltys *dot* com) with their reason.  Those who are not attending the conferences who wish to participate may also contact Chris to be included.
